the 5th girl??

in the movie the girl who leaves the "fab 5" turns out alright in the movie and doesnt get into all the mumbo jumbo that the other 4 do

but in articles for the real life story it says that all 5 girls got kicked off the squad etc etc

so was that one girl goes good just to make the movie better or was the article i read wrong

One of the girls quit the squad but she didn't get kicked off. And that part of the movie was changed because the 5th girl left.

Are you sure the 5th girl left? I don't think that happened in real life. I think it was a matter of being a different race than the other four that the plot in the movie was altered in order to keep her from standing out and being discriminated by those with certain viewpoints over minorities. I know that in the movie none of these five girls were black but that is not the same as the real five at Mckinney North High School when the entire administration had their minds ascend to the clouds!

Yeah, yeah...you posted this on another thread as well. You may have had a point if there had actually been a black girl in the group. In none of the pictures is there any proof of this. The area is whiter than white-out, and the cheer leading team was no different.

LOL you're right I did. I wanted to make it clear in as many discussions as I could to help IMDB users understand why there were shown to be only four girls in the movie despite five in real life. In any case there WAS a black girl in the group. And what pictures are you talking about? I haven't seen any pictures online of the actual fab five altogether. I have however researched what really happened and seen pictures of the real girls individually as well as with other classmates and in non-school settings. One of them was black and that might very well have been the one taken out of the movie even though it was still called Fab Five, there are references in the movie of there being five and the poster art for it shows five girls.

I don't think it's possible to really know who the Fab Five really were unless you were a part of their clique. I, too, have researched and have come across multiple names. Most of the searches do mention a girl named Shaunika Dancy, who was African American. If you go to Karrissa's Myspace page and scroll all the way through her comments, there is a post on there from Shaunika right around the time that all this was going on. Her comment does sound pretty bitchy, so draw your own conclusions. However, there is a video of them online cheerleading and I don't see a black cheerleader, which means one of two things: one, Shaunika wasn't in the clique or two, she wasn't at the game that night that this video was taken of them.

My research is not based on comments from the girls pages on online social networks. It's taken from blogs and archives outlining the true stories behind the movies based on them. Shaunika Dancy is on record as being one of the fab five and she is the only black one. I don't know if that really was why the girls were represented throughout the movie as being only four despite the title but I do consider that a possibility. In any case where is this video you mention of the actual five cheerleading? If that does consist of any of them you must be right about the Dancy girl not being with them that night. Listen why do you say it's not possible to know who they really were unless you were a part of the clique yourself? Does this mean that everything in the media is totally inaccurate?
