Teri's camera etc.

Okay, I'm not crazy about this film, but something was odd...I mean, other than the sister acting like a sleaze.
When Teri's character is taking pictures, it isn't believable, but later, she is seen looking at them digitally...immediately on the computer. Then, later, there are prints hung up....with clips, as if they are drying on a line, as if she developed them the old fashioned way.

That little camera she uses in no way could do digital AND real film. That was so weird. Or did she print them on her computer to hang them up to look at them????
So strange.

No haters please, just noticed it and thought it odd.

You're right. I never thought about that.

I don't know too much about the different make of cameras out there, but I also doubt that they would make a camera that does both of using real film and digital film since it would be pretty redundant.

Digital cameras are thought to be the replacement for the old film format so they wouldn't bother making a camera that does both (since one was intended to REPLACE the other, not work along side it).

So yeah that scene doesn't make sense.

I thought this was very odd too. Three possibilities:

1. Screw-up by the filmmakers. Which would seem a bit odd, considering that people who work in the industry should know the difference between a digital and non-digital camera.

2. She took the pics with a digital camera, but printed them out using some sort of printer that requires that the photos dry out a bit.

3. She took the pics with a traditional SLR camera and scanned the negatives into digital format for viewing on her computer. This seems like a very convoluted explanation.

So overall, no matter what, not a very good job by the filmmakers.

The camera in question is a Canon 300D. Digital. The actual photos were taken with a 10D (also digital). The prints were hung up to show that was her work area. Nothing more complicated than that, it's a movie. The real work area used by modern photographers is pretty boring to look at.
