Airport Security - at least, that's what their shoulder patches identify them as - does not process immigrants into the country, nor do they screen passports for entry into the United States. United States Customs and Border Protection agents perform this role. The film should have used the appropriate uniforms and identified them as such. I've seen it portrayed accurately in many films and when no attempt is made at authenticity, it just pulls you out of the film and you find yourself calling bull$ hit.
