Facts about Arabs could be noticed from the Movie

Thanks Cherin for the below point which can explain alot !

1-Arabs in general belive in the American Dream, and they won't mind going to the US any time and start new life over!

2-Once they reach there they start being Homesick and wonder when they are going back home yet they don't even there are daily flights from/to US !

3-Second and third Generation of Arab Americans belive that they have the right to defend thier fellow Arabs as we watched in the class when Selma spoke on Behalf of Fadi who just want to fade in the American School and forget how was miserable his life back in Palestine and want to start a new life.

4-Americans being racist is not that big deal
as still in Arab world Racisim is available in every country there, Sunni and Sheaa in Iraq, Chritians and Muslims in Egypt and Amazighs and Arabs in Algeria and those samples are the main reasons why Arabs are immigrating to US and other countries

5- Over all the movie emphasized on a case which is Muna's and Fadi's story to start a new life in the American Society
whether they made it or not ,that was left to the viewers to decide and that part is the most amazing thing !

1 succeding in your life isn't just an american dream, people from all over the world wish that. for some it means emigrating, if their country is poor or at war. for some it is USA that they emigrate to, for others Germany,France,UK,...

2 people get homesick when on a trip to a neighbouring city, not to mention a completely different country on the other side of the world (where they are met with hostility by some and where they have troubles with settling, finding a job, making a living). it's the same for, say, eastern european immigrants into west european countries. and they have it much easier.

3 and why wouldn't someone have a right to defend someone else? or express their opinion? you'd like your country to become a place where you can't do that? maybe you should emigrate to one of those miserable mid-eastern countries.

4 yes, compare countries of different economic level...
compared to similar countries (european), USA would be among the more racist ones.

Have you ever lived in Europe? Doubtful or you wouldn't have made that statement. Hope in hades that a black European will become Prime Minsiter anytime soon in any European country. BTW, I lived in Europe for 12 years.

reply

On the surface that is true. But what does it matter? When a Black President is a servant to Apartheid and Zionism.

reply

No reasons to call any US President "a servant of Zionists" when he forces Israel to release 104 bloody murderers just for the Palestinian Arabs to start negotiations.

Or, when the President refuses to recognize Jerusalem as Israeli capital.

Or, when the President refuses to pardon Israeli spy Pollard who spent 30 years in jail, but releases Syrian and other worse spies after just several years.

Without discussing what is right or wrong, US Presidents have more grounds to be called servants of "Arab Oil lobby".

reply

I am confused. When did the President say the capitol was NOT in Jerusalem?

reply

That's a crappy comparison. Black people make up 13% of the American population. It was about TIME America elected a black president, it's taken TOO long, actually.
Name one European country who has 13% black people. I bet you won't be able to come up with a single one, because there are none. So to compare individual European countries with America in that aspect is kind of dumb.

I think it's stupid to speak of Europe as homogenous place, some countries have more problem with racism than other. I live in Sweden, and I haven't experienced even half the racism my black relatives in America have. Not to say racism doesn't exist here, but it is definitely not as prevalent as in America.

reply

I bet B. Hussein Obama's white mama would feel disrespected with people's insistence on calling him black. He is half black at the most. Muslim apologist? Most definitely.

reply

Why half at the most?
Do you know, for sure, he can't be more. Are you familiar with his family tree on both sides to know whether any of his mother's ancestors were black?

reply

Yeah the movie is pretty good, real and recognisable characters, and the open book ending makes it that more poignantSource:Amreeka Moviehttp://moviereviews.noskram.com/2010/01/amreeka-movie
