At the end of S4 Jackie was fired, Akalitus was fired and Cruz was running the hospital, now S5 starts and Jackie and Akalitus are back at All Saints, Cruz is gone and its like S4 never happened. Maybe i missed the explanation for all this at the beginning but can someone clarify for me what exactly happened between S4 and S5?

I know what happened in the finale of S4, i mean the stuff that happened in between S4 and S5, what we as the audience didn't get to see, like why Jackie and Akalitus has their jobs back and why Cruz is gone.
