Lamplighter's burnt hand still working for the hand scanners

Anyone else feel like his hand shouldn't be able to work on those hand scanners after it was burnt like that? I mean his fucking skin was charred and deformed, how could a scanner still scan it and read its finger prints and palm lines and tell whos hand it belongs to? And Huey seemed to automatically know it would still work for some reason, he didn't even stop for a single second to think if it would still work.

Its questionable why his regular non burnt hand still works there in the first place cause he's not in the 7 anymore, but then his burnt black charred hand still works as well.

I thought the same thing, but then his hand shouldn't have worked from the start, in supposedly such a high-security building.

I thought everything related to Annie's kidnapping and rescue was very rushed. The hand still working after being burned was probably the most "fuck it, just go with it" part of it all..

It was a deep scan. Possibly bone-deep. Maybe deeper than she's ever had. The bone was still wet, despite the raging fire of just earlier. Aided by her dripping held hand, she pushed it all the way into the slot and experienced the entrance open fully. Satisfied, he pushed on until she came again...upon Hughie's smiling face!

Yeah, that was one of many plot holes this season that didn't make sense. Which is surprising, because overall Season 1 writing was superb and pretty tight (though not perfect) regarding plot holes.
