So... (spoilers)

Older Eleven blew up those heads?

reply

I do believe that's the direction they are going.

reply

It appears that way, however I'm not totally convinced it was her till it has been 'verified/confirmed' since the head-exploder was well hidden from everyone's sight.

I'm not yet convinced it was the same one from the asylum since she was exploding entire bodies, where this one was only focusing it above the shoulder, that is unless she can finger-focus that power for just their heads.

I was hoping to see the outcome of the trial, but I should have known that vought would never allow it to go that far. That was just diabolical.

The head explosions reminded of Kingsman The Secret Service without the animated colorful firecracker effects.

Well if that’s the case who blew Raynor’s head off? That was several episodes prior to Cindy’s first sighting? She was presumably still locked up at that point.

reply

It could've been Cindy who killed Raynor. They could've brought her out for "special occasions" and maybe her handlers had her kill Raynor without orders to kill anyone else. And maybe neither she nor her handlers at that time knew The Boys were actually high-value targets.

But that doesn't fly. Vought knew who Butcher was, as did everyone working for or with Vought, as the TV broadcasts made clear.

Anyway, now we know the answer. And I have to admit, I thought it was a brilliant twist. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that they were able to end the season with satisfactory closure to so many threads, while exposing a new thread to tantalize us with.

THAT's how you end with a cliffhanger!

Just watched ScreenCrush's take

Better rewatch episode 7

Turns out Neuman seems to require line-of-sight to blow her target's mind. When Homelander invades her rally, she keeps her eyes on him the whole time, just in case. And during the hearing, she's looking at the chair when his head blows, then looks around the room to nail Vogelbaum and Shockwave, and even back at her own staffer. Then she rushes back in and sits down, feigning shock, so she can nail a few more innocent bystanders

Whoah!

But what side is she on? Or is she just after power? If she supports Vought she could have done nothing and they would be better off. If she is against Vought why meddle with the trial?

reply

wow. Eleven turns out to be a red herring.
