I never gave this show a watch, but everything I've heard sounds utterly dreadful so far. It sounds like every other trite, cliche deconstruction of the superhero genre. This sorta thing has been done to death at this point, and nothing I've heard about the show suggests to me that it does anything new to stand out from the pack (Watchmen, The Incredibles, Super etc).
shareI dunno, I'm intrigued by the laser baby. Have you ever seen Jojo's Bizarre Adventure? I watched it with my teen boys. It's basically horror anime? There's an invisible baby. They have to take care of it and it keeps getting away from them and then they can't find it cuz: invisible. It's a minor running gag but it's really funny.
shareYou should definitely check it out. It's great. I don't know where you've heard it's dreadful as I've heard of nothing but praise. There is not a single negative critic review on Metacritic. It's literally the complete opposite of cliche superhero deconstruction BS.

But in all honesty, I think most super hero movies are just products with cookie cutter characters, the same story, and no real purpose other than to be a commercial for the next super hero movie.
alltrue, not to mention stupid looking costumes.
Hence i havent watched a supe move in 20 years.
I heard this was a little different , so gave it a go and quite enjoyed it.
