No Supervillains?

So far they only show super heroes but no real villains

reply

But the superheroes already are real super villains...at least mostly.

With super heroes like that, who needs enemies?

reply

I agree, but if there’s super heroes in the world then villains will naturally evolve as well.

Watch the rest of the show and you'll see that everything you just brought up is explained.

reply

There are very few official villains in the comic because life is too good for supes as it is and one has to be really stupid to go against the grain.

reply

there are supervillains at the end of season 1. but season 1 is about regular guys figuring out how to go against superheroes gone bad.

It makes sense because the world isn't that black and white. There is no logic in that just because superheroes have grouped together to protect the world, that must mean there's a group of super evildoers bent on destruction. The chances are much higher that the superheroes would have no real threat from adversaries. And because of that, it makes sense for superheroes to become corrupted into fabricating the threats so they can continue being revered by society and continue making wads of cash.

Its an idea that Garth Ennis put lots of real-world logic into instead of relying on tropes or doing things just for the sake of parody.

Gotta watch all the episodes.

The best villains have no powers....Dr. Doom, Lex Luther, Joker

reply

Thanks, I was just wondering if any of the super villians (normal or powered) were mentioned in the show directly. (Other than the terrorist created ones)

reply

The Supes are the villians that was made clear in Garth Ennis comics
