Prefer the 'rough cut'

Yeah, I'm one of those people who got the net-leaked rough cut of the film, but I have to say I prefer it to the official version of the film. There's a lot more stock footage, action, and it feels more like a genuine film - I thought the DVD cut made it all a lot sillier and spoilt the idea that this was a 'real' movie a little. (Aside from the Doctor Wu bit, interestingly, which became slightly more sensible in the official version, but I thought playing randomness to the hilt in that scene was the way to go...)

It could just be me, but I thought the fifteen minutes of cuts was all good stuff they should have kept in the film. The only cool scene put in was the death of Rafelli, but I kinda liked the way he disappeared with no explanation in the early version - yet another characteristic of a dodgy movie.

I suspect the problem is that you have too many paperclips up your nose

That's interesting. I've still not seen the official cut simply because I live in the UK and the region 2 has not yet been released (It's finally due this month apparently)

The main reason I wanna get that dvd is for the missing Rafelli scene, but as you say, it's equally funny/authentic to have him just disappear like they forgot to tie up the subplot! As for 15 minutes of cuts; I wouldn't want to remove anything from the film as there's not a moment in the rough cut that is unfunny and it never drags at any point. Still going to get the official one though and I expect they'll include removed scenes in the dvd extras
