How is Transformers and John Carter not on the list? Pluto Nash, Sahara, Golden Compass, Alexander, and Waterworld could also probably be on that list as well.

Meh, golden compass is mostly fantasy, anyway.

I'd put every movie this dink director made on that crap list.

reply

I do believe you are forgetting the dumbest movie ever made(big-budget or otherwise). Dante's Peak.

That is all.

reply

Oh, god, yes, point conceded.

xanadu -- god -- i keep trying to block that out. I saw it when it came out (and I was a teen and though Olivia newton John was hot). My wife saw that Gene Kelly was in it and wanted to watch it last month (they've been pushing it on HBO/Showtime). I warned her!

Talking monkey, yeah, yeah. Came here from the future, ugly sucker, only says "ficus"

reply

Yeah, you gotta go through a LOT of movies before you can come up with a list like mine. ;)

reply

Xanadu needs to be number 1. It's horrific.

reply

Yeah, gotta admit there, saw it in the theatre when I was a kid.

I still like her song, though.

how about Pearl Harbor ?

reply

A few epic fails spring to mind, in no particular order:
Gigli
Catwoman
Mars Needs Moms
Speed Racer
Green Lantern
The Postman
Red Planet
The Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle
Dudley Do-Right
Cutthroat Island
Evan Almighty
The Wolfman
Poseidon
Land of the Lost

These were mostly box office bombs, but ironically some of the dumbest big-budget movies rake in millions, including "2012". By comparison "The Day After Tomorrow" is tolerable, but "White House Down" seems to be a financial and critical flop. No worries, Roland Emmerich is still probably water skiing behind a 100-foot yacht or lounging in a Bel-Air mansion swimming pool, courtesy of the viewing public.

And of course Pearl Harbor sucked, but I miss you =)

I have to agree. 2012 was massively cheesy, like it was a mockery of disaster/armegeddon films.
