Well it's 2016 and the end didn't happen!

I wonder how that makes the folks who predicted it feel now every time they see the movie rerun on TV?

reply

Technically no one predicted the world would end in 2012. The Mayan calendar ran out, and people just let their imaginations fly. Many thought technology would go out of whack in 2000 because Y2K.

I remember seeing on the 700 Club about people needing to get body bags for all those not ascending to Heaven back in late 1999. I guess they didn't get the memo that 1. The new millennium started in 2001 or 2. That they were morons.

Even my extremely fundamental Christian grandmother had a sort of "Last Supper" type thing in December 1999. I got a free meal out of it. Best cooked steak I've ever had.

The 2012 prophecy was absolutely true. It was the 'end of an era' and I think the world has changed profoundly since then. A bunch of idiots changed 'an era' to 'the world' and people who don't like checking facts believed it and parroted it.

What changed , beep hole?

its funny when I was this movie in late 2009 I was actually a bit worried of what might happen, come 2012 I had forgot all about any of this anyway and of course reading it now seems almost trivial.

What, you never heard of sequels?
