Laughable film
Matthew Mc's serviceable performance couldn't save this garbage film. Plot holes galore, cliche characters, predictable twists, and Philippe's dreadful performance means this film is an average 80's B-movie drama

You found McConaughey's performance "serviceable?" Yes, it served the film very well. If you predicted that last twist, without having read the novel beforehand, then I suggest you get a crystal ball and a tent.
It's not what a movie is about, it's how it is about it.

What last twist? That he killed a prostitute years earlier? Doesnt really qualify as a twist..more like a desperate attempt to make something happen...i know its based on a book but it simply doesnt seem like a big twist at all...
There we were, minding our own business, when kids started killing themselves all over my property.

And....you want to keep it a secret because..............?

Well again, it seems kind of easy, why is it surprising, or out of the ordinary? A parent will often stick their neck out to protect their offspring..

Ok that makes sense too, but why should we care? How is that a twist?

Predictable boring film that wasted a great cast. No way this started the McConaissance. I still say it was Bernie.
Nothing is as it seems so I wouldn't judge by what you think you see.

You do get that only attention seekers post opinions (without explaining their comments) like this right?
'Well I've got two words for you - STFU'
