The mom was a real dumnb-a$$

In the grocery store, I can't believe she would leave her baby unattended. She actually went into the aisle and was out of visual shot of Ricky for almost a minute. He had time to sprout his wings and take off. Then she had the nerve to say, "This is his fault."

To make matters worse, she lets go of his string which cause him to go missing. Was she trying to get rid of the little chap? And in the end, when she saw him at the lake, she seemed content and happy to know her son was out there flying around. He's not learning to speak, or getting any type of education. But she seemed okay with it.

The whole movie was pointless.

The fact that certain character doesn't behave the way we would behave or expect others to doesn't make the movie pointless. Irresponsible people exist, believe me. And there is no reason to ignore this fact when making a movie.

I don't find this movie worth seeing again, and could have lived without seeing it in the first place, but for oompletely different reasons. After all, is it less pointless to see a baby flying, and even more, flying away at the age of several months, surviving for a while in a wilderness, reappearing suddenly alive, well, healthy, and disappearing almost immediately somewhere, to live happily ever after?
