ow it was an emotional moment, but you'd think someone in the church in Georgia would've asked Khan to tell his life story in English instead of Urdu.

That part really bothered me, too. His English was good enough that he could have said the same thing in a language the church could understand.

But, of course, the Hindi/Urdu speaking audience would probably not have understood it as well. (Although, urban Indian and Pakistanis mostly seem to have some English.)

That was odd indeed.
This film was obviously made aiming international audiences (otherwise, why bother with English at all?).

I thought it was because he was speaking of something very personal and painful, but then you see the boy crying as he understood everything Khan said... weird.
