I think she just wanted to be with someone who treated her with respect and had normal sex. She said that she and her husband hadn't had vaginal intercourse in years and she was in her 30s and at her sexual peak.

People sometimes reach out for intimacy and/or affection in skewed ways: I imagine she wanted to be close to someone she trusted. He was her doctor, so they had formed some sort of relationship and intimacy in that capacity over the years.

I don't see her going to him for SEX, I imagine she went to him for some kind of warmth...and it turned sexual that one time.

She was pretty much depressed and falling apart at the time.
