Totally sucked. I took a gamble and bought the DVD for £3 but hated the movie. When the kung-fu guy started doing karate with the mutant, I switched it off.
How can this be compared to EVENT HORIZON which is a GREAT sci-fi movie!!!
And please don't even try to compare with ALIEN.

The movie has good points like its pace in the beginning but it deteriorates basically at the point the OP says. After that the pace is wrong there are weird uneccesary fight sequences and then weird bits of filler which adds little more to the movie. Sort of like it catches pandorum of its own. It's also incredibly predictable. Sci-fi by numbers.

shareHonestly I would not have even thought to compare Event Horizon with Pandorum. Both are good-to-great films worth watching, and that's where the comparison ends for me. I liked Pandorum, was curious to see how it all turned out near the end and found myself quite pleased with the ending.
It left me wanting to see a sequel, which is rare for me. I gave it a 7.

lol Event Horizon is a rip-off of the Black Hole and Solaris, that focuses on tons of gore.

I thought it was a great story and a great movie that was held back by a really strange style of filming action scenes that really took away from the rest of the movie. I still enjoyed it on its own merits.
shareGreat movie, but I agree the way the fight scenes were depicted substracted from it.
Still one of the best Sci Fi movies of late.
Couple of the fight sequences were necessary to show the tribe warrior culture which Gallo started.

I totally disagree. I haven't had this much fun with a Sci-Fi/Horror movie since Event Horizon. We need more movies like the two cause they're honestly not enough.
