Were there nay clues in the movie suggesting that Maggie was raped or forced into having sex with John?
Did the mother force maggie to do it? Was there some sort of abusive device that tied maggie together?
Or was she just compliant with John? For some money?
But then again she is a prostitute after all.
What do you guys think?

When Emma drives Maggie back to the trailer, Maggie tells Emma that John's mom (the real mom, when she was still alive), hired Maggie to come to the house and have sex with John. But, John's mom was a sick and abusive woman. She made them have sex while she watched, and made John do stuff and did stuff to John and made Maggie watch. Maggie said she was scared, so meaning she was too scared to stop or try to leave, etc. Maggie got pregnant from having sex with John and when she told John's mom later, John's mom paid her monthly checks to stay away from John. John was never told about the baby, so when Maggie comes over with him, it's a big surprise to him.
shareJust a clarification: Maggie was not paid to have sex with John. She was paid to MEET him. She only started having sex for money after she stopped getting checks from John's mom (obviously because she died!). But agree with the rest of your explanation.
