It's a average movie with scenes copied from other tv commericals and films.
The dialoges are not good, script is crap and songs are terrible. TERRIBLE!
I will give it a 6/10, just because of Aamir Khans acting. Otherwise 5/10.
This just shows that IMDB 250 is usless, a lot of films which should not be on the list are there because of stupid fan boys and bad taste in cinema
Exactly my point! This movie is okay and i am surprised most indian users are comparing this movie to shawshank redemption. LOL! this is the funniest joke i've come across after a long time. Just bcoz it's a aamir khan movie, it shouldn't be rated so high. Fan boys has even rated Andaz apna apna 8.7.... now can you expect a movie like dumb and dumber to be on top 250??
I liked 3 idiots and wanted to rate it 7 but rated it 1 to bring down rating of 10 fan boys. I would urge others to do the same.
Well thats great that it is few people out there with a brain. It is a reason why bollywood movie don't have a world recognition but french, chinese, korean, japanese etc have world recognition and people who don't understand the language watch it and enjoy it. Because they are ORIGINAL!
Bollywood just copy and paste mostly hollywood and south indian films. Everything looks so fake. The actors are more white then english men, music is a rip off (pritiam is the copycat man of the century).
Even a scene in 3 idiots where Aamir Khan, Madhavan and Sharman Joshi comes late to the test and then Aamir ask the teacher if the teacher knew who they was. After he said NO, they mix all the papers then run out is directling taken from a commerical.
Write your own stories or just stop making films.
shawshank redemption is a perfect comparison... Another popular overrated movie. It has Morgan Freeman instead of Aamir Khan only. Neither is worthy to be in my top 250.
12 Angry Men is by far a superior movie, even The Good, the Bad and the Ugly is far better.

Well those should be banned from internet and imdb then. They are messing up the rating system so all bollywood crap have high rates here and those few good ones have average rate just because their favorite khan is not there.
Bollywood or those who watch this crap will never Change. Raanjhana should have at least 8,8 of 10. Just the acting of Dhanush and music of A.R. Rahman has are 10/10.
