The reason why Hindi trash keeps cluttering the Top 250 list

The flood of patriotic votes from India has obviously been caused by the popularity of this very subject in local media.

Believe it or not, Indian news sites or sites about the Hindi culture devote articles after articles about how many of their movies make the IMDB Top 250 list, to which they refer as some kind of cinema bible or something... While I haven't noticed any explicit urging from their part to the readers to do so, the latter react by creating accounts on IMDB and voting Hindi movies by the thousands.
