True Romance

I rented this off Netflix a few months ago. I laughed at the part where Alice is on the pseudo date and the guys asks her "What do you do?..Where you from?..Who's your favorite movie star?...What kind of music do you like?" and she replies she's an Elvis fan. The dialogue is either referencing or lifted from Tarantino's script, which I caught on right away. But who am I to say? Tarantino has lifted other's director/writer's *beep* for years.

I liked the girl who played Alice, but the only part that really bothered me was when she's standing like 4 feet away in the backround from the blonde who's expressing her suspicions about Alice. I'm not a rocket scientist, but I think Alice would probably hear everything she's saying???

Yeah that part was a little weird. At first it looks as if they're going to walk a little further from Alice, but they don't.

Another part that I didn't get was when the P.I. decides to pick Alice's lock just seconds after she lets him out. Was he expecting her to be asleep or did he not care if he was caught?

That part REALLY bothered me.

I guess it annoyed me even more because I thought for once someone in a movie is doing the right thing, seeing that he was in danger and instead of panicking, playing it cool and walking out like he hadn't noticed anything.

But then he just *beep* picks the lock seconds after she locked him out. I mean, either he sensed an urgent danger in which case he should have called the police, or he thought something was 'a bit off' in which case he should have just waited until she was at work.

It didn't make any sense??

And that bit that they OP mentioned annoyed me too. But for a low budget flick it was pretty good. I particularly liked Alice and also Alex.
