I was thinking about watching this movie mainly coz of the star power of Donnie Yen, Leon Lai and Kelly Chen. I guess I'm having doubts. If it hits TV in Australia then yeah i'll watch it. Just want to know something. Is it worse than Three Kingdoms with Andy Lau? That movie was an insult to the Romance novel.
This movie is actually really good. Negativity comes from inaccurate expectations. This is not a Jet Li type movie nor an over the top, wire-fighting martial arts movie.
Many who do not like it either expected something like the above movies or a 300 type movie. This is far more like a korean epic movie.
I liked it! It's not the best 'epic', but worth your time if you like these kinds of films. Probably mostly disliked because like the post above says it's not like the more popular epics.
