A decent Predator film ruined by woke messaging

This is almost a worthy entry into the Predator franchise.

If it wasn’t for the cringe wokeness it would get a respectable 7.5/10. It’s well shot, has some great action, and the battle builds well as the hero learns the combat strategies of the Predator and beats it.

Structurally, it’s well written, and the execution is very good for the most part, it looks great. The CGI animals sometimes convince, other times not. The actors are all… fine.

Now, woke cultists will pull their usual strawman of ‘OMG you just hate women and are intolerant of a female lead bigot!’ Nobody thinks that and they know it, they’re just deceitful fucktards who cannot engage with the actual argument, which is…

1. White males are portrayed as evil and incompetent, and the film encourages you to celebrate their slaughter. It’s racist, sexist crap.

2. The female lead lives under a bigoted patriarchy that fails to recognise her prowess, and of course we’re encouraged to celebrate the slaughter of male tribe members who mistreat her. The males are all nerfed while the female lead is ridiculously buffed by the script.

The film reigns this in a bit by having her be incompetent at one point which makes it less egregious than the worst woke propaganda out there, but it’s not enough to neutralise the stench of woke going on here.

Shame because there’s much to recommend the film. I encourage you to watch it but make sure you don’t pay for it - do not fund any woke propaganda.
