Women better at IT than men?

No, not that, although I'm sure everyone probably has an opinion on that too...I mean playing the socially (and financially) upward mobilty game thing? AK's character ultimately chooses LOVE, ML's character APPARENTLY chooses MONEY. She was obviously SMARTER and better at it than him. Is this a GENERALLY (as opposed to a specifically) realistic portrayal? Any reasons this MIGHT be generally true or not? Who knows??

Was this one possible messsage in the movie (and if so, does it suggest a male bias)? I don't know...but I think it's possible.

I live in Aspen CO and I can tell you from what I've seen working as a club DJ that girls are WAY better than "it" than guys.

Well, women are natural whores.

And the outrage begins in 5,4,3,2... :)

reply

Actually its men who are the whores hence why women pick and choose

Exactly. And I knew some "nice guy" would take the movie the wrong way and think this movie was against women. Nikki just gets his karma. It seems his old girlfriend really loved him at some point but he chose money and now someone has done the same thing to him.

no, it wasn't a commentary on men vs. women

it was just a commentary on idealism, and movies always showing the main character succeeding in love. I remember watching it thinking, "if he gets the girl in the end, this movie is garbage. he hasn't done anything to earn his redemption; that scene in the strip club and the girl he passes over at the outdoor cafe are NOT enough to make this guy deserving of the prize."
