The ending should have been crazy!

Something surreal to give it that wink, to suck off the foam of the anti-climax that it is to me. It ends like it is Part One for godssakes...I would have ended with an exterior of the shack, with a wind slowly picking up from nowhere, building, building, blowing leaves against the building, the roaring of the wind is all you hear - and then CUT! Black screen, silence. Roll the credits...this is MY world, IMDb is just living in it.

No, the ending was perfect and a real ending. The Dardenne Brothers didn't leave Lorna alone. No anti-climax at all.

All kinds of possibilities battered my mind, and they didn't leave me for hours after the film. The first time I thought an 'open ending' really did fit, because it was a compassionate one. I didn't want just a happy solution, neither did I want Lorna to be murdered. It tore me up. Every other ending would not have satisfied me. So the film left it up to me,which was fine.
