Most blood ever in a non-horror movie?
I think I am right on this. Nobody will really remember the story or action scenes, Just the turnoff of too much blood.
Q.T.'s Kill Bill had lots of blood, but that was one scene for comical effect.

I think you might be right for the most blood in a non horror movie. As far as no one remembering the story or action, you might be wrong on that one. I would say Raizo has made quite an impression on females and or males those who swing that way. This movie has 46 fan fiction stories and more on the way.
The interracial relationship between Mika and Razio is what will keep this movie alive oh and Rain's body.
If I wanted to kill my husband,I'd do it and I wouldn't get caught.I'd scare him to death.
People will remember the superb action of this movie. It's a breath of fresh air as opposed to the same old gun fights and fist fights...
People will remember ... this movie.
This is the goriest non-horror movie ever made and i have watched many horror movies that makes "Braindead" look like a kids movie.
shareLOL! Yeah, this is quite a bloody movie, but I still remember the action and I really enjoyed this movie. I wasn't expecting ninjas fighting to be neat & clean.
shareDefinitly not the most gory non-horror I've seen, it is very gory and the severed limbs look good, but the blood is obviously digital. It rates pretty highly though, especially for a modern American film.
Off the top of my head try; The Story of Ricky, The Lone Wolf and Cub series, some of Takashi Miike's films, the trashy B-Movie Japanese stuff like Tokyo Gore Police and Machine Girl (although these are cheap and silly), even the recent Machete was on par, maybe worse.
I'd actually say Kill Bill is more violent, because you can see everything a lot more clearly. Thought the action was better too.

Pretty sure tokyo gore police and those kinds of movies fall into the horror genre (wierd monsters, cruel villians, tons of gore = horror)
Yeah. I wouldn't count TGP in horror, I only really include a film in the genre if it's aiming to scare me. It's got Horror elements though sure.

I'm a bit of a purist when it comes to film blood and cgi blood just doesn't do it for me at all. It comes off as violent as some digitally included snowflakes, just because it's red, doesn't mean it's impressive. If you count Ninja Assassin as a gory movie then you'll have to include videogames into the equation as well.
Film blood: no mess, no fun.

CGI blood doesn't count. Kill Bill is way bloodier, and much more impressive. Shogun Assassin is up there, too.
Low budget film director, with punk rock sensibilities.
CGI blood doesn't count.
Isn't it just weird to insist on real fake blood?
But seriously, the craft that goes into traditional effects and the fact that you have actual physical objects in front of the camera is so essential to movies with gore, it cannot be understated.
