This could've been big like glee . . .

It made me wonder why this series didn't hit it big like glee, I mean th songs were awesome (plus they were original) and the casting was great just like glee(esp in this one where the cast were all triple threats).
the themes they covered were actually great,
I mean they had themes like dyslexia, ms, teacher-student affair, BB's brother storyline, etc.

So what went wrong?

This show had the talent, good production numbers and the great themes.

Well for me, it was the writing, it could've been better.
As I said they had great themes but they should've utilized it more.

the interesting parts were just briefly touched when it could'v been explored.
The writing wasn't strong which gave underwritten characters which is such a waste cause they had great talents.
They should've covered more of BB mourning for his brother or flashbacks of his life before BH,
Or how Danny could've been explored more and how he really felt about Claudine and Lauren instead of just making him fickle. I mean did he feel bad that he dumped Lauren? Did he miss her when he was with Caudine? How did he really feel about those two girls? Did he finally choose Lauren just randomly or by choice?
That triangle for one was so messed up and I don't know how everyone were just ok with him jumping from one girl to another.
Lauren and her ms storyline was so brief.
More of Jez' dad and just Jez cause he's awesome.
I really would've loved to see more of Claudine's backstory with her mom.
Or Lola trying to get over Stefan.
Or just simply balancing the light scenes and the heavy scenes better.

If these were more explored, it could've been big, well my opinion that is.

Another fault is the title, it sounded so High School,

Advertising could've been better, I mean this came out when HSM was big, they should've put more promos in which shows that this ain't another HSM (to stop HSM fans claiming that this was a rip-off or for NON-HSM fans to not be turned off by it) and more like a Centrestage and Fame inspired show.

Well these atleast were some of the faults, dont get me wrong I loved the show but I can see how it could've been better.

I wished they could've atleast given a chance for a second season, to steer it the right way.
It's kinda disappointing, this show was promising and could'e been epic if it was given a chance and was improved esp if it had a second season.
