Dune influence on ep 3.12

There were many elements from Dune in episode 3.12:
- Sisterhood,
- gom jabar,
- the voice (Mother's voice sound like in Lynch's film),
- water of life,
- invisibility (from the prequel books).

I think there was a definite Bene Gesserit influence.

The Nightsisters have been around since the mid-90s in the EU, and there first on-screen appearance has been rectoned to been as far back as 185 with the Ewok: Battle for Endor movie

I know that. It's just that the OP's post made it seem like they thought the Nightsisters were made up for the Clone Wars episode

---We will rule over all this land and we will call it... This Land.---

Where the Nightsister was Gaius Helen Mohiam herself!

wtf are you talking about? SW has always been a complete rip off of Dune.

reply

It's a pastiche of a number of different older sources. But it comes together in a way that makes it seem like something new and exciting.

This page is for the movie, not the series.
