Was this film Rotoscoped similar to A Scanner Darkly, or the old Ralph Bakshi films? I got the sense the animation was not drawn from the gound up...

The Making Of feature on the dvd states emphatically that the film is not rotoscoped.
shareI didn't see the making of feature. I'll check that out when I get a chance. Indeed, based off of everyting I have read today, they are very adament that it was not rotoscoped. Consider this mystery solved.

Naah watch the characters' movement - it's very unnatural looking, they don't have all the twitches and stuff that normal people have, that you'd get if it was rotoscoped. if anything it's the opposite... They move very smoothly
The trivia section says flash animation is used which looks a bit more correct
