song question - Enola Gay

In the actual events, was the song "Enola Gay" played on the Love Boat that transported them to the war? Or is it just used to represent the type of music that played during that boat ride? Does the filmmaker address this anywhere?

Brad481, I am guessing that it was used to highlight the devastation that was to come in later events - not sure if you are aware or not but that was the name of the plane that dropped the atomic bomb on Hiroshima.
