I paid him... let's go HAHAHA

The two stupidest things in this film:

Saif teaching his New York lecture entirely in Hindi to a classroom of Americans

Kiron Kher telling Kareena Kapoor that she paid the mall cop after she was caught shoplifting...

HEISENBERG WAS HERE.... (I think)

(yes it's a chemistry joke so sue me!)

I don't know what you smoked before you went to see the movie, may be you saw it in India where English dialogues were dubbed in Hindi. Saif did not teach in Hindi, he wrote and spoke in English and the students had debates/discussion in English.

Kiron Kher paid for the item she was accused of shoplifting, she did not pay the cop!

serious?

I will believe you about the teaching dialogues... because they sounded really dubbed...

but if you are taken for shoplifting in US... you can not simply pay off the officer or pay for the merchandise. You will go to jail. It was really smart idea that he drops the item in her bag but it was rather ludicrous that she got away

my bad tho about the first comment... i didn't realize

Yes, I just watched it and that scene was dubbed in Hindi, they were all clearly speaking English.
+ even if he taught in Hindi, it's not uncommon. There are classes in colleges that are taught in different languages, it would say so in the class description and students would know before they sign up.

Whoever the idiot is who saw the scene in the class room dubbed in Hindi, and thought for ONE second it wasn't dubbed...you're an idiot and it speaks to your ignorance and probably why you didn't like the film. If a person is caught shoplifting in the U.S., it is up to the discretion of the private security company whether or not to call the police and have you arrested. She probably brokered a deal, paid for the item, and agreed never to come back. I've seen it happen a thousand times.

Side note: I sincerely hope this scene isn't dubbed in Hindi on the DVD/Blu-ray release..considering I saw it in the cinema here and it was all in English. Unfortunately, I'm afraid that it will be dubbed on the DVD/BD because the streaming version Netflix has is dubbed during the class room scene. Terrible...it takes away from the seriousness of the scene.
