the scene where priyanka is asked to 'redesign' the magazine. and the whole photo shoot which john does for her - including the fall leaves and all the fun they are having together is lifted from jennifer garner's movie '13 going on 30'. i wonder if this is plagiarism too
So you are saying that if we start putting gansters in jail their families will suffer so let them terrorise us. Very interesting philosophy of yours. LOL !!!

"So basically, I paid 300 Rs and got to see 3 movies in 1! Now, thats Value for money ;) "
AHahah! Paisa vasool indeed! (although let me repeat that Dostana is not a copy at all of Chuck and Larry, which is itself 'inspired' from another movie). I once saw a snippet of a documentary about plagiarism in Bwood, and they were saying that hindi audiences don't want to see English movies, they want to see those same movies adapted to their culture, language and mannerisms.
thats true. bollywood is adopting the culture from hollywood as well. like what kind of girl based on indian culture would get in lingerie and watch horror movies with her two gay roommates? (ever noticed that scene-i guess it was part of a song)...
Good point. John Abraham's character also happens to be a photographer who helps with the "redesign photo shoot" much like Jennifer Garner's love interest (Mark Ruffalo) in "13 Going on 30". I also noticed a brief pilfering of the chest-waxing scene from "The 40-year old Virgin". (They even had Asian women doing the waxing like the Hollywood movie!)...
... and of course, Abhishek's male-nurse angle taken from "Meet the Parents" (a movie that Bollywood seems to love borrowing liberally from). "Chuck and Larry" has been mentioned before, but the whole idea of pretending to be gay to score a convenient living situation was done with much popularity in the 70s ("Three's Company").
"Dostana" is like a cinematic smoothie blended from many different movies.
