I wondered if Kristen Bell was first pick in the cast for this movie. Brittany Murphy would have been a far better choice, but not available (anymore).

shareI totally agree, Brittany Murphy would have been perfect for this role. Even the woman who plays the younger sister looks a lot like Brittany Murphy. Kristen Bell was so flat and underwhelming. I didn't even make to the end of the movie. Can anyone fill me in on what happens?

The movie was cute and I enjoyed it... but yes... brittany murphy would have been a much better choice...if she sadly wasn't gone.
Or maybe Kirsten Dunst.
Amy Adams or Isla Fisher may have been good too...(the 2 could be twins).

Basically anyone other than Kristen Bell, theres something about her that just doesnt seem likable/watchable, perhaps its because I'm still mad at Sarah Marshal for dumping Jason Segel
