I can honestly say that as a film music fan (and soundtrack collector) I tend to rent movies just for the sake of the score. This time it was a score composed by a composer that I have met - and the fact that he is not known for scoring romantic comedies so I pretty much rented it just because of that.

However I must admit that for being a romantic COMEDY it was actually pretty funny. I guess I have not laughed as much as I have on any previous romantic comedy as I did when watching When in Rome. Okay, Kristen Bell`s portrait of Beth was so-so and the fact that the movie felt a little bit like an improvement over the Lindsay Lohan movie Just My Luck but hey it worked. I liked it.

And by the way I thought that the director (and/or the producers) did not let composer Christopher Young to do as much as I would have liked him to do. It was way too brief, his score that is.

I really liked the movie too. Not many romantic comadies are that funny.
