Caleb and Emma *spoiler alert*

When both Caleb and Emma had their affair, Emma was a virgin right? So if she was, in a way, she helped Caleb forgive his father for cheating on his mom because he slept with his brother's gf, but she also helped him stop being so bitter and negative towards women right? I'm not sure if I got this movie. Some parts are unclear. Thanks to anyone who answers though :)

the point of this movie was stated in the opening scene. Every women will *beep* you up (not you, but the characters). So she cheated with Caleb and it proved his point perfectly. There is no deeper meaning in it. Still, the film was great, because it was original (in a way).

whooom, I felt the movie was saying the son repeated his father's behavior and hurt the person whom did not deserve it. The mom got screwed over by the dad and the son got screwed over by the brother. So of course they would end up OK, but the mom for sure and the son most likely got the short end of the stick. Just another spin on it. I think I like both views.

This is the 2nd thread in which I've seen you say those exact words, and it bothered me the first time. The point of the movie wasn't SOLELY 'girls will fk you over and you will get butt-hurt and I am the movie and I showed you how it happens.'

I seen it as 'girls CAN fk you over, you will get butt-hurt but strong relationships with people you love can help get you through hard times.' I say this because the guy was obviously a complete wreck over the way his dad disowned him. He stated that his father was a super hero to him and it is my belief that when Caleb tells Emma that he started sleeping again because of her, that it was not actually because of her but because he was experiencing a feeling of a reconnection with his father after so many years. Notice how he zoned out and glared at the house when he first dropped the two off, and again, zoned out when he saw his father at the grill (paying absolutely no mind to Peter or Emma in both instances).

So yeah, shut up Mr. End-all-be-all to points of movies. :p FLOCKA!
