They are all emo fests these days, based on no form of reality. Even watching Lord of the Rings requires me to suspend my disbelief less than this piece of crap. Do not try to take any higher meaning, moral lesson, or an existential epiphany from this POS.
Oh my god, thank you. I love Adam Scott and I watched it because of him and I really wanted to like it, but OH MY GOD THIS MOVIE SUCKS. This is the most pretentious *beep* I have ever watched it. It's like a parody of all these *beep* 'indie' films around, or of what people think indie films should be like. How could Scott and JK Simmons be part of this? Unbelievable.
Seriously, you two really are idiots. I just saw this movie tonight and I was really moved by it in more ways than one. I find it sad that people who are fans of Adam Scott (I wasn't a fan until I saw this) couldn't appreciate the level of realism of his performance in this film and the film itself. Rent Avatar for the fiftieth time. Watch Knocked Up... again. Some of us like to feel something while watching a movie.
I'm with you on this. This movie is great! Scott's character will be in my mind for years and of course the end of the movie. Wow I don’t get why other people on this board talk about Emma crying at the end because she was going to break up with Peter due to the lack of satisfying sex. Are you serious? In my opinion she cries because he just told her that he loves her and she betrayed him with his own brother, in her mind there are two issues. One is if she confess to Peter what happened with Caleb, this could break the relationship that Peter has with his brother and also confirms that his brother was right about her.
Wow I never considered that she was crying because of her guilt about what had happened. I just thought she was sad because he said he loved her and she knew they were going to break up.
