got nothing out of this

felt like i was watching the middle part of an action thriller looped for 90 mins. no end, no beginning and no meaning.
quite good photography, location and suspense, but nothing more.

Agree mate. Was looking for a great British caper like "lock stock & barrel" or "snatch". Big disappointment for me.

you couple of stupid twats, stick to new moon and transformers, why would you think it was like lock stock, you think every british film is the same? hahahaahaha

reply

***SPOILERS IN MY POST***

I dont know i kind of liked it, while no masterpiece i have seen alot worse, it kept me entertained throughout and i was curious how it was all gonna turn out and i thought the actors all did a good beliveable job, was supprised the money was in the locker though, surely alister wasnt planning on looseing, but was glad that it was :-)

have to say savagejj does seem a bit of a twit though, considering lock stock, snatch are comedys and this obviously isnt

"Savagejj" is what his mummy got embroidered on his pajamas after he terrified their rabbit. He's watched Lock Stock and Snatch over 400 times, and wants to be a funny villain when he grows up.

I wasn't expecting Lock, Stock... but I was expecting a lot more than this film gave. I wasn't even expecting a great film, I heard it was just alright, and I was still disappointed. I think it was trying to be gritty, it was trying to be clever, it was trying to say something. It failed. The main guy was doing moves that would have crippled even a top level athlete. What the hell was that roof drop he did at start? And what the hell was with the big, flashing tracker on his collar? Could they not find anywhere more obvious to put it? What if he took his coat off? And all the dialogue by the villain trying to make it a film with something to say was just terrible.

Even if they'd done a good job it wouldn't have turned out like Lock, Stock... and so maybe Savagejj would have been disappointed. That doesn't change the fact that this was a poor film.

reply

Yes, it really wasn't very good at all.

I agree. I was really looking forward to seeing this film, I thought it had a great premise & had plans to see it at the cinema when it was released but it wasn't showing in my area. I'm glad I didn't pay money to see it at the cinema! I gave up with it after an hour, it was too slow & it never seemed to get going. I reckon if there was an American remake it would be a lot better, it would make a great genre film!

What Neilzebub said! Basically its not a great film but I watched as was set where I live....and they screwed up the Geography of our city totally!!

I mean, a little bit you can get away with but going into flats in one part of the city center and then exiting miles away with no background ways to support why?!?

Its a very easy flick to pick holes in but guess should support our local filmmakers and hope they get it right the next time!! :)
