why was this cancelled?

I have just watched both seasons on Netflix here in the UK

and I can not believe it was cancelled and that they let it end the way that it did...as ive said in my other post I will just take it that they all died other than gary..now I know if there was a 3rd season they would have woken up with stronger powers but dr rosen will be dead since hes human.

But this did not happen so I will just take the ending for how it was and they are dead.

were the ratings too low? and if so what are you thoughts on why no one watched it...or not enough people were attracted to it?

I will admit right now that after watching the first 2 eps I was ready for not bothering with the rest..the main reasons being gary and bill I could not stand them at all.

BUT I watched a few more eps and I really enjoyed it...maybe a lot of viewers were like me but they decided just not to bother watching any more
