You guys don't get it

This movie isn't really meant to be watched for its raw filmmaking entertainment value. This one is meant to be enjoyed for its imagination value.

You're not supposed to watch a movie like this without trying to imagine yourself there, in the world that H.G. Wells tried to paint. If you're just trying to get entertained by the acting, direction, and script, you'll miss it. This one is about tossing yourself casually into another reality altogether.

And yes, it is a horribly made movie. But the worse it got, the more I was laughing. Like when the son "died". That had me almost on the floor laughing. Little brat came rushing out calling for dad as soon as there were booms, when the dad told him to stay put until he comes back DOWN. I mean, it's not funny to the storyline, but it is just so unrealistically dramatized, it was ridiculous to the point of humor.

That's why you can't watch this for the drama, even though it starts out with plenty of it. You have to watch it while geeking out a bit. There's only one way to enjoy the original Star Trek series, too. It's the same idea.

hold on... I'm a little confused by what you've said here... you're supposed to get yourself into the world that HG Wells tried to paint... but you found the plot, acting, direction, and script so bad that it made you laugh?? How does that work??

The Apocalypse is coming, the end is NIGH

Imagine if the apocalypse came and all they found was this piece of crap and a few Scifi original movies and throw the Gods must be crazy - a 3hr movie about a guy running around with a coke bottle! Imagine how much the survivors would hate us and think how stupid we were and how much we deserved to die! Is this the legacy we want to leave behind? That is what all movie producers should think before putting out a piece of crap like this!

Ok well it was only an hr and a half, but they actually made 2 of them so it equals about 3 hrs... And they both sucked!

I rather watch Honey boo boo or beat my head against the pavement... It's actually almost the same thing! I'm sure both actions actually make you dumber!
