Quite surprising given Mike Judge's track record, but this thing was a turd. These caricature type shows are awfully difficult to pull off. Maybe it's the lack of truth in the characters. "King of the Hill" worked because the characters were not just mocked.
shareI think if you fail to find the humor in the show, it is because you relate too much to the Goode family? Every yuppie I know who is into the vegan lifestyle and save the earth frenzy, tend to not like this show. Nothing wrong with having "earthy" views and wanting to do environmental things, but some folks try too hard, as in this show. I think this show is hilarious, but that is my opinion.
shareYeah this show is just too accurate for some people, it makes them uncomfortable. I don't doubt some people just don't find it funny for whatever other reason too. But like you I know several people that are just like this show is making fun of, and they don't like it...

It's just not funny. The characters aren't interesting. Most of them sound either mean or depressed.
