Can anyone tell me what the whistling song is that's played in the Grand Hotel episode (Series 3 Episode 1) - the episode was on 5 the other night and I can't get the tune out of my head!

It's one of those standard tunes that all the reality/makeover shows seem to have. There are lots of other tunes I hear on other shows (Obsessive Compulsive Cleaners, Hoarder next Door, etc) that when I hear a tune I think "That's from The Hotel Inspector!"
shareI also notice the same pieces of music being played in many of the British reality/documentary shows that I've watched in recent years, from Bargain Hunt to cleaning shows to house-building shows.
A couple of weeks ago, I watched an episode of "24 Hours in A&E" and realised that it had the exact same music as "The Supervet." From the three bonging sounds that begin the canned voiceover to the happy, upbeat notes that play throughought the light-hearted scenes.
In fact, both shows have the same format and the same fixed cameras: They both start with a loooong sappy pre-recorded intro bigging up the staff. Then there's happy music as brief shots of the human hospital/vet surgery set the scene. Then there is dramatic footage of the medical crises. In "Hours," there are comedic breaks where the patients waiting in the lobby say and do silly things as they fight boredom. In "Vet," there are comedic breaks where the receptionists do and say silly things as they toil at their repetetive jobs. Then there are serious interviews with the patient's loved one/owner at home... and so on.
Series 2-6 of Supervet is the same damn show as 24 Hours!
