Holy Sh-t This was Bad

I LOVED ninja movies in the 80's... I mean, LOVED them. I got heavily involved in martial arts to this day because of it. I found it disappointing, however, going back and rewatching those films, realizing how terrible they are. I always wanted someone to try a serious attempt at a "ninja" movie, with a real budget, real filmmakers. I was hoping this was going to be that film.

My god.. I mean... wow is this just awful on every level. This would be good 25 years ago but there's no excuse for it being sooooooo bad. Aside from the acting, it looks like video, the lighting is amateur hour, the scenes are overedited and over color-treated in spots (trying to be "modern") -- and they couldn't come up with a plot better than this. I mean, it's just a steaming pile from start to finish. Remember how bad "American Ninja" was? This wasn't any better... over two decades later.

Someone needs to do a Bourne type of "ninja" movie where it's a great film that "happens" to be a ninja movie. The closest thing we have to a serious attempt at the genre is Batman?
