The Mining Operation

It takes place on the far side of the moon and there are jammers set up in a parameter around the base. These are on the far parameters past where the harvesters drive and the buggies are only driven a (seemingly) short distance to pick up the helium cannisters.

Would it be possible that the company had several of these harvesting bases set up all over the far side of the moon and the jammers were actually set up to keep the other bases from communicating with each other/finding out that they exist? A cannister every few days seems like a low yield to power 70% of Earth's needs (or whatever the claim was in the commercial at the start of the movie)
