The kid could have been a bit better prepared...

Two soldiers burst in and he shoots one and waits for the other to bayonet him? That was his plan for protecting the women?

Milo Ventimiglia is the worst actor in the history of television. And condoms feel terrible.

silly boy. He could of at least had some fun with the girl before he got skewered =P

America was not discovered by Americans - shame on them.

I was so optimistic that we'd have a young ensign actually survive a Sharpe episode. But not to be lol.

Any ensigns serving near Sharpe get 40 years knocked off their life expectancy in one go...

I suspect the problem is that you have too many paperclips up your nose

What was he to do? It's not like pistols in that time were automatic, so he could kill both the attackers. He was just a child, so beating the second attacker by sword was also highly unlikely. He was also wounded, by the way. His "post" to defend the room was more of a formality, which Sharpe set up on the spot, when talking to him, in order to give the boy a bit of pride. He was not expected to perform like a full-strength soldier on a proper combat position.
