OK, I am really mad right now!!!
I have watched all five animated films that are nominated this year for an oscar and while some of them were really good, hence worthy of a nomination, others were not..
What is really happening with the academy each year??? Don't they get enough money to notice ''stray'' films like this one??
In my point of view, this beautiful animated story should have won a nomination at least, if not the whole contest..
Anyway, it all comes to budgeting and marketing and all they care about is profit!
What a shame, really..

At least Jack is up for a Cesar (the French movie award) late this month. Fingers crossed, it deserves it.

For what it is worth, it won the award "Best movie for children" up here in Denmark last Autumn, awarded by the children department of our movie academy. Not that a Danish award means anything to anyone, but we love that movie up here .. the few of us who know it.

I think it means a lot! For one thing, it means you have great taste!
By the way, I visited some parts of your country some years ago and it was fantastic!
