Agreed. He literally committed suicide at the end. Pretty depressing movie.
shareRemember how he tried kissing her when she was asleep and couldn't because of the pain? By loving her he would have died. She didn't want to love him knowing that eventually she would kill him. By taking his key back and throwing it away he let her go of any responsibly for him dieing. Finally freeing her of possible guilt and for their first and final kiss they were finally able to love each other completely. Life without love is no life. He chose love, even though it killed him at least he lived...

Love and life doesn't have a happy ending, that's why I liked about this film.
