Garbage. Avoid like the plague

This is the worst cheapest "film" I have ever seen and ive sat through 30 minutes of Basic Instinct 2. The story is garbage, the actors are rubbish, you just want the main characters to die painfully.
I have never been so board in my entire life it is depressing drivel with rubbish characters. The worst pile of garbage i have ever seen.
My intellect is well and truly insulted beyond belief. Painfully awful.

Maybe he/she actually has a life, unlike most people on these boards?

Yes, anyone who's got more than 2 posts on a forum doesn't have a life. It's as simple as that.

I agree...

...Totally...

...and completely.

The person spelled 'bored' as 'board', if they have a life they obviously don't spend it doing anything productive.

It is embarassing to say that your intellect is insulted, and then make an obvious spelling error!~bored vs board

I hate when people exaggerate, more than anything. It's ludicrous to say, this movie is the cheapest garbage ever. There are movies where the actors get 3 figure paychecks. Sean Bean isn't working for that and it's not a horrible movie.

The rest of you idiots can spend your time arguing over what constitutes "having a life."

reply

Your phrasing seems American, yet the film has not been released there, so where did you see this film?

reply

I'm a US citizen who has watched the movie and loved it. I'd go so far as to say that I enjoyed it more than anything else I've watched in recent memory. I completely disagree with everything the OP said.

There is a DVD rip on the web that's been in circulation for at least a couple of weeks now. More likely than not, that's how the OP watched it too.

reply

That's how I just watched it too. I'm an American.

reply

I have heard a load of tosh about how bad this film is.

I watched it last night and thoroughly enjoyed every moment. I feel the religious zealots are out to spoil this one too.

Watch it. It is a GREAT film....8/10

Maybe he's an American who has been living in England?

reply

British people use the word "garbage" even less than Americans use the word "rubbish". Who knows where the OP is from? From his spelling and grammar, probably not a country with English as it's first language.

I saw this film in America and I too loved it.....I've seen it about 7 times because i'm a big fan of Sean Bean and the acting was overall very good. I'm not sure why where you watched it matters, but you are obviously offended by criticism of British films. The whole idea of a comments section is to voice your opinion......Don't be offended, i'm sure you don't like every American film you've seen....I disagree with the poster u replied to, but he's enttled to his opinion. Don't make it an international debate

reply

Too late, they are offended and out for blood in mass. It amazes me that such a vast majority of people from every possible nation get so offended if you criticize ANYTHING about/from their country. Be it a car or film or whatever. There is NEVER a reaction such as "you think so? Why? How come?" Or any other sort of intelligent response. The knee-jerk reaction is ALWAYS (well at least 99,9999999999% of the time) to attack that person in any and every possible way.

We talk about globalization and communities with no borders or tech such as internet closing different gaps between people. Reality is most people are still like the old villagers and with that kind of very narrow mentality. Nobody knows where the OP is from but they assume he is not British, then not American, then attack his spelling and it keeps going on. Amazing :)

reply

um, an american would never say "rubbish"

Second half of a movie was rather good. Sean Bean and his fellow colleagues showed real tallent. And "Vengeance is mine" moment was just great.

reply

Not a bad movie at all.Gave it 8/10,but then again I'm a fan of medieval
movies in general. The plot was ok enough with a nice gloomy atmosphere.

Speaking of medieval, any thoughts on the armour sets worn by the soldiers?

I have the impression that by 1350 the mail (maille?) would have been still
dominant - exactly like portrayed in the movie. But what about Sean Bean's top
armour?Seems like some kind of leather scale-is it historically accurate?
For church soldiers, the guys were sure wearing "bits and pieces" - not
wearing a common type all of them. This gives the guys more personality.

reply

Yeah I think "scale mail" or "scale armour" would have been accurate at that time, used by the Romans, and middle eastern empires so it probably still would have been around at that time.

reply

It was all plastic, just like in real medieval times I'm sure...

reply

Somewhere in the 13-hundreds the plate armor started to appear, seen by Sean's upper arm armor.
Scalemail was the more or less improved Chainmail though not as flexible, hence why he only have it on his chest/back and not on his arms where he got a chainmail and plate combo.
Later the full plate appeared making all mail's looks like rags for being 100% sword proof.

OT: i gave it a 7/10, because it was a bit drawnout at some points that made me slightly bored, though the movie always kept me interested enough to watch it to the end, loved the end btw.

reply

It is not called "chain mail" it is simply "mail". A chain would be a single string of links. "Chain mail" is retarded and needless.

"I am the equal and opposite reaction!" -Unknowntyper-

reply

The armour isn't historically accurate - it's fanatasy, grundgey fantasy but still fantasy. That said most of the rest of the costumes and the village were all reasonably OK.

reply

This movie was not fantasy, it's more or less a Drama/Mystery set in Medieval times. Sure not everything may be historically accurate but that doesn't make it fantasy. There was no magic of any sort, no fantastical creatures or settings, etc.. It seemed to be a very realistic portrayal of such a situation.

reply

It sounds crazy but as I was watching this movie(for the 8th time) I was reading the comments and that scene(vengeance is mine) came on just as I read yours....

reply

I thought it was an awesome movie! Dark and chilling.

reply

Fabulous film, they got the medieval vibe spot on and it was really great that it didn't have a happy ending for once.

reply

I enjoyed this film far better than a lot of the rubbish that comes out of Hollywood - just because a film does not have a enormous budget does not make it a bad film.I will give it a 7/10

reply

it's a great movie and he's just trolling :p

I think this guys just a troll. It's obvious this is a pretty high quality movie with thousands of people giving it pretty high ratings. Someone took it upon themselves to "stir-the-pot" as it were.

Aye to hell with his right to an opinion, just aslong as stinky catches another 'troll' .Isn`t it remarkable how you jump in at the end of a long line and spot them? You would never "stir the pot as it were" ,would you pet?

Wow, what a coincidence, a troll gets pointed out, and the king of trolls pops in with a comment of his own. Anyway, welcome back, thought you had died or took a vacation or something (though now I see you probably just changed nicks and started trolling on other movie forums). Well, nice to see you again. I'll start looking forward to your incoherent ramblings once more. :)
