He's black in the books


I'm seeing a lot of posts (some quite racist) saying that heathcliffe shouldn't be black because it makes no sense.
He wasn't white in the books, can anyone here actually read?

There were no "books;" it wasn't a series. It was one book. As far as race goes, the author, Emily Bronte only hinted at his lineage, mentioning that he was "dark," and was from some foreign land. It is really up to the individual reader to make that judgement. The problem is that people are used to seeing this character played by white actors; and that is incorrect.
