not made it into purely a typical watered-down cop show. The cast was perfectly fine, but the writing was way too soft, and should have focused more on Toby and his affliction and made it more creative.
And they shouldn't have gotten rid of the original police woman, and Toby being a paramedic and his boss was good for the show.
I hated his paramedic boss. Best thing that ever happened was his last episode.

Every second or third series is focused on cops or detectives. I do agree with you on the first point; the paramedic thing made it special.
I get why they wanted Oz to be in a bar - you're probably not going to find Oz, Tia (a reporter), and Toby (a cop) hanging out in a hospital. Still...maybe they could have put Oz back with the paramedics? Anything to keep that part of the show alive. Cops and a bar is more pedestrian.
The listener ended why couldn't we have a new series starring Iris the faith healer. The actress is a little older and maybe she got her act together, hearing and faith healing that would be a really cool show
