If they wanted to leave let the idiots leave(with the stuff they came with).

Howard was insane and kidnapped her. What are you talking about?

I do not believe that he kidnapped her.

It happened the way he said it did.

He was driving too fast and ran her off the road. He could have left her there but he chose to go back and save her life. The ungrateful POS didn't show any aprkation.

Howard was nuts but that does not change the fact he saved her life. She should have kept her mouth shut and not cause any problem until it was safe to go out.

The most important thing is sincerity. If you can fake that you've got it made.

You may have missed an integral part of this movie. The whole kidnapping and captivity of the protagonist lol.

That's the whole point - Howard wouldn't let them leave. There happened to be real danger on the outside, yet Howard was not simply their savior he was their jailer.

Remember that among other insanity:
1. He went nuts just because Michelle touched Emmet's hand.
2. It's implied that he may have killed that girl whose clothes Michelle was wearing. She went missing (and left her clothes) long before any outside danger.
